Once found, admins can choose to delete or restore the message. If a user has deleted a message they have sent, an Admin can recover it by navigating to the admin settings, clicking through to the Audit Log, then searching for the deleted message.
Yes, Slack Admins can delete messages from both public and private channels. This action is not reversible, so please use caution when deleting conversations or messages.
You can also delete particular messages from the conversation by simply hovering your mouse over the message and clicking the three vertical dots, which will give you the option to delete the message.
